Tomasina Cattery is situated in Cape Town on a smallholding in Joostenbergvlakte. The cattery was opened approximately 30 years ago and has been managed by Carina since 2018. We strive to keep the tradition of loving care for your beloved cats.
Before making bookings, you are welcome to visit our cattery and chat about the care of your cats so that you can be confident about their welfare while you are away.
Our accommodation consists of comfortable rooms with securely enclosed gardens that lead off from the rooms. We house up to two cats in our single rooms with private garden time. We accommodate families in their own family room and your cat(s) will not share rooms or garden time with any unknown cats.
The rooms and gardens are fully enclosed. We have spent much time on ensuring
that the cattery is as “escape proof” as can be.
We serve excellent quality cat food to our guests. Fresh water is always available and is changed twice daily. If you prefer your cat to stay on his/her usual diet, we ask that you bring it with.
Hygiene is very important to us which is why we thoroughly clean rooms, feeding
bowls and litterboxes daily. Bedding is changed and washed weekly in our laundry – and changed between new arrivals.
For some extra special bonding time our staff groom the cats daily and we provide plenty of love – lots of purrs here.
